Earthwizard's Realms of Faërie

to ride the night bitch moon...

	   The Wizardís Dream
Carved of ice, this cromlech stands,
the sky etched eye of moon bends down
until the glimmering light of the witches' breath,
scent of death, the life of shadows
bind to draw down the moon into this dream:
I seize this power, this ancient spell,
dark hordes arise beneath this wintry sky,
where forged beneath the moon, Bridgid's cry
in stone of blood and wine begets a flame,
the witch-fire gleam of ancient stars
that spells demise of warriors dead
	upon the field of blood and valor;
	whispering throats of cauldron ghosts,
the cry of banshees in the wind,
the cast of light upon the stone
	where serpent kings once dared
	to ride the night bitch moon;
	and, now, the bloody steel,
	the blades of frosted oaths
	that bound the scattered host
	into the undying realms,
	shades the lot, glacial temples
rising in the mist open out
	into the western seas
	beyond the sundered waters
	of this broken earth,
where in the Temple of the Moon
the tongue bled prince of dew
springs tears of dark and light
	upon the ice borne seas:
	his ebony hair blows
	back upon the spires
	of ancient cities of Atlantis:
	where the crystal ladled moon
	floats beyond the measured motion
of this dream until one comes again
	who can wear the crown,
and waken all the sleepers from this Wizardís Dream!
