Earthwizard's Realms of Faërie

Springtime is the time of birth and re-birth. The time of all green things coming alive in the seasonal round of our earth's travels through both the sidreal zodiac and the all too real curvatures of the Sun's gravitational pull... the ancients saw in the poetry of the Seasons the power of the Goddess as she walked among her people in the cycles of birth, growth, fullness, old age, and rebirth... The Spring is the time of joy and wildness: the time of passion and deep sensual pleasure. One begins to feel the blood stir as the buds on the trees begin to flower. One can feel the pulse of the earth rising in the sap of the trees as the leaves begin to break through the husk of winter. This is the power of her love for all creatures of the earth.

	Spring Faë

	Her seductive eye, the wings that rise,
	the serpent writhing of her shapely thighs:
	she warms the Spring with her dark enchantments;
	the beasts and green wild things awakening to her desire;
	the slow thick panting of the sun behind her,
	calling to the moon his lover; who,
	below the gold horizon shakes the western rim,
	the waters beginning to churn,
	the deep green god, triton horn blaring, hies
	to his mistress' beck and call: the floodgates break,
	releasing the ancient power of her gaze
	turning the lover's eyes to stone then renewed flesh;
	yet, beyond both love and war, she holds the lover's gaze,
	beyond the measured doom to show her true ways,
	the shaping spells of blood and moon, freeing him from the frozen tomb,
	so that his voice, hand, and eye can once again measure her true life
	with song, harp, and the eternal poet's magic art of enchantment and surprise.
