		The Cunning Man's Curse of the Throated Cord
	Broken swallows of the throated cord:
	the windpipe's gusts
	bewail the fluted spray of words;
	all speech bereft, berated,
	measured by the prod of gese:
	the twisted antlered beastie fear
	of frogs and newts, declare;
	why, why the bells do sound,
	the Christian god doth die his death in thee
	but in his mind he rings a bell
	of dark and light to death us tell;
	when minds will cast us in the pit,
	unbind your mind, hitch up your tongue:
	speak out the word that tells it all;
	blest with richness of thy speech,
	this guest might turn his heart in twain,
	and know the secret of your art;
	O worthy one of cunning ways:
	speak to us of your nodding tongue,
	today; speak out, in thought not action
	of the serpent tongues of blasted wen's:
	those secret runes the wizards know
	that hold the binding spells of doom
	for those who challenge words and deeds
	of fallen kings; so know the truth of troth,
	dear friend, cast not your thought
	in action's ears before the sun and moon do set
	unless you, too, have depth of wisdom there;
	for you might just find your self within
	a binding spell of wizard's snares,
	bereft of mind and soul: a spirit sprite of darkest fear!
