Earthwizard's Realms of Faërie

She dances on the wind...

	The Banshee's Cry

	Fey to FaŽ,
	the Sidhe gods
	weigh
	the wail
	of the banshee's cry:
	the birth, the tear,
	the glow of spears
	upon the ringed hill,
	rebirth
	out of the night
	of fear;
	death sounds,
	echoing
	in the mist,
	the dark cauldron scry
	that tempts the loon to cry,
	eldest magick:
	Avalon's isle:
	maiden's twelve
	chanting
	words of power
	that all men dread
	in holy terror
	of blood and moon:
	the ways
	of womankind
	in their night life
	of Moon Magick;
	the frozen scream
	that frights
	brownie and sprite,
	dark elf and light:
	hills alive
	with their power
	enfolding us
	in doom
	under a dark moon;
	the mystery of this
	fatal hour
	come round
	at last
	to bring us
	down
	into the land
	of the dead,
	who wander
	between the worlds;
	their light,
	the Shining Ones
	delight, caught
	within the dark fire
	of this Banshee's
	flight,
	where she wails
	upon the white hill,
	dripping
	wizened tears!
