beauty's face of light...

			Arianrhod: Lady of the Silver Wheel
	Arianrhod, Lady of the Silver Wheel,
	Prophecy and dream your glyph,
	Keeper of the Wheel of Time:
	You measure the light of stars
	In circles of this quest,
	The measured guest who treads
	The starry path of your desire:
	Past and future glimpsed
	With open heart and mind;
	The whirl of the matrix
	Celts of old did grace,
	And on the ship of time
	Voyage unto the moon-land;
	Weaver of spells and light,
	Spider woman of the spinning light;
	Who lives in Caer Arianrhod,
	Corona Boeralis's rainbow castle,
	Where maidens cast the fated dice
	Of warriors and the poet's life:
	Virgin Queen who mates
	The champion of her choice,
	And battles for all women
	Who in slavery to the male blood
	Of serpent lords who weal the blade,
	Daughter of Don, sister of Gwydion,
	Who stepped over the King's wand,
	Birth of Dylan found in shame,
	The child blessed to the sea went
	And lived beyond the human tale;
	Her brother chanced to see
	Another object fall from her shame,
	A boy child who later told,
	He presented to her, the actions bold,
	That forced her to lay the threefold gease:
	The curse of this goddess upon him:
	He shall have no name except one she gives him.
	He shall bear no arms except ones she gives him.
	He shall have no wife of the race that is now on the earth.
	Outraged Gwydion hid the boy
	In shoemaker cloth, till one day
	She shoes had made: the boy
	With skill stoned a bird with accurate sight:
	She commented, kindly on the child's
	Skillfulness, and Gwydion uncloaked
	Handed her the first curse, revoked,
	Her name to the child given:
	Llew Llaw Gyffes, the Shining Skillful Hand;
	Next Gwydion broke the curse
	By causing ships of dark demise
	In magick light to appear,
	Thereby forcing her to give
	Arms to Llew Llaw Gyffes her son,
	For protection of her castle:
	Gwydion laughed and the curse fled,
	For she had relased him form the second curse;
	Now her mind was set
	She would not relent the third curse:
	So angered her brother was,
	To King Math he went,
	And with his help glamoured
	A woman of flowers, Blodeuwedd,
	To be wife to Llew, and broke the final curse;
	The fatal curses unbound at last
	She fled to her castle in the stars,
	Where to this day she rules the Witches' Wheel:
	Remaining till the flood of time
	Shall cast us all beyond the sundered seas of Time!
